Frequently-Asked Questions

Do you service/repair iMacs or Macbooks?

No. We only service/repair computers running Microsoft Windows.

Can you recover data from my hard drive?

Generally, the answer is yes. If your computer is not booting and the hard drive is otherwise undamaged, we can remove your hard drive and recover those files. If you are replacing your motherboard, your hard drive can either be physically transferred or cloned to a new drive. Additionally, if you are upgrading your hard drive to a larger HDD (Hard Disk Drive) or SSD (Solid State Drive), your original hard drive can be cloned to the new drive.

Should I backup my data before service/repair?

YES! Once we receive your PC for service/repair, and before we perform any work, we will back up your data - but you are responsible for your data. BACKUP OFTEN, especially before service/repair if possible! As a precaution, we back up all of your files located in \Desktop, \Downloads, \Documents, \Pictures, \Music, and \Videos. Anything you want preserved by us should be in those folders. If, for whatever unforseen reason, your Operating System has to be reinstalled, you will also have to reinstall all of your applications.

Do you overclock CPUs and GPUs?

No. Overclocking CPUs and GPUs can be risky and lead to system instability, although many people successfully do so.
